Climate transitions

As you might have heard, after four and a half years as our Washington Business Partnerships Manager, Friday is Chris Bast’s last day at Climate Solutions. Chris has done a tremendous job engaging business leaders on clean energy and climate issues and building our network. Starting Monday, Chris will be joining Seattle’s Office of Sustainability and Environment as their Climate Policy Advisor. Chris will have a special focus on the City's new initiative to become a world-leader in spurring deployment of electric vehicles. While we are very sad to see Chris go, we are excited that he will be helping the City meet its ambitious goals for climate action and clean transportation.

Will you help us find the next great member of the Climate Solutions team? We’re hiring a Business Partnerships Advisor to help us write the next chapter of business engagement for climate action. The Business Partnerships Advisor’s primary responsibilities will be to facilitate business engagement in Climate Solutions programs and projects, deliver business support for the organization’s policy priorities, and represent the interests of the business and the clean technology community within Climate Solutions’ decision-making processes.

Climate Solutions' ClimateCast Remains Ever-Popular

climatecast-640"As an environmental and sustainability professional at a leading global consumer packaged goods company, I receive dozens of news digests and summaries each week. Most are deleted from my inbox on arrival . Among those I always make time to read, ClimateCast (produced by Climate Solutions) is a favorite. I value highly the short, readable, well-edited, digest of engaging nuggets from the week's climate and clean energy news.  I strongly recommend that anyone interested in these issues subscribe." - Howard Sharfstein is Senior Counsel Environment Energy Safety & Sustainability at Kimberly-Clark Corporation
