Bio

Paul Che oke ten Wagner of the Vancouver Island Saanich tribe has been actively involved in the struggle against the Dakota Access Pipeline, including a project to build "tarpees," winter shelters to house people at the Standing Rock reservation in North Dakota. He is a storyteller and musician, sharing traditional songs and stories of the Coast Salish peoples locally and internationally. An award winning Native American flutist, he interweaves his Spirit-gifted songs on the Native American flute along with traditional tribal drum songs into this journey to an ancient time and place of the first peoples of this land. When possible he loves to round things out with a jovial Coast Salish dance or two. He lives in Redmond, WA.
