Capping emissions good for WA jobs, environment
Statement from Vlad Gutman, Washington State Director of Climate Solutions, Becky Kelley, President of Washington Environmental Council, and Shannon Murphy, President of Washington Conservation Voters on the WA Dept. of Ecology’s announcement of a draft Clean Air Rule
“We strongly believe that a cap on carbon pollution will help Washington transition to a vibrant clean economy that will improve our health and create thousands of jobs. We commend Governor Inslee and the Department of Ecology for their leadership. The Dept. of Ecology can strengthen this first draft of their Clean Air Rule. We’re looking forward to working with them and engaging the public and key stakeholders to have the strong policy our state needs and protect Washingtonians affected by air pollution and climate change impacts.”
