Boise, ID

Boise is the most populous city in Idaho and the third largest city in the Pacific Northwest, with approximately 214,000 residents.  Located in a high-desert area, the city’s beautiful location on the tree-lined valley of the Boise River, along with the Boise State University campus, makes it an attractive oasis for businesses, young professionals, and outdoor enthusiasts alike.  Ranked ninth on Inc.com’s 2007 list of hot mid-sized cities for entrepreneurs, Boise is home to headquarters or major campuses of Walmart, Micron Technology, J.R. Simplot, and Hewlett-Packard.

The New Energy Cities program facilitated a Workshop called "Boise's New Energy Future: Energy Efficiency and Prosperity" on June 14, 2012.
