Breaking Barriers Collaborative Program Manager
Bio
Nurturing compassionate, trusting relationships to bring forth a more equitable future is the heart of Indra's work. As a queer farmer and community organizer, Indra has worked on the frontlines alongside communities disproportionately affected by climate crises since 2020. Whether harvesting in the field in preparation for a community fundraiser or facilitating farmer roundtables around local food systems policy, Indra believes building community interdependence is essential for affecting systemic change.
Before joining Climate Solutions, Indra managed programs focused on economic development for small BIPOC-owned businesses and food sovereignty for underserved communities in South King County. In her previous role, Indra grew and expanded her programs to support 100+ businesses and created cohort-based training programs to help these businesses achieve their goals. At the Breaking Barriers Collaborative, Indra is leading the development and deployment of the Alumni Program, with the goal to build out a strong community of BBC graduates connected to and supporting one another towards continued fleet electrification.
Outside of work, you can find Indra reading speculative fiction, planning trips to the coast to gather seaweed and razor clams, and farming with friends.
