Bio

Madeline’s diverse experience spans non-profits and grassroots organizations throughout southern Oregon and western Washington. Among her previous roles, she has done state-level environmental lobbying for the League of Women Voters of Washington; helped found Southern Oregon Climate Action Now and People For Climate Action: Renton; performed data analysis for Thurston Climate Action Team; and ran for Lacey City Council in 2017 on a platform of sustainable and equitable growth. She received her Masters in Environmental Studies from The Evergreen State College in 2016, with a thesis on climate change in state science standards, and her Bachelors of Science with a dual major in Environmental Studies & Biology from Southern Oregon University in 2014. A life-long advocate for social justice, she began looking at the intersection of international development, ecology, and the climate crisis while in college. Her passion is development that is sustainable, equitable, and accessible to all.
