City of Seattle to Shell Oil: Not so fast; while major business coalition joins call for climate action

At Climate Solutions' annual breakfast on May 4, Seattle Mayor Ed Murray announced that the Port of Seattle lacked the proper permits to lease moorage to Shell's controversial Arctic drilling fleet. Meanwhile, a major business coalition gave its support to the broadest-based climate action efforts in Washington and Oregon.

Climate Solutions' 8th Annual Dinner with Majora Carter

We hope you’ll be able to join us for Climate Solutions' 8th Annual Dinner: Tuesday, December 6 at 5:30pm, at the Hilton Portland. We're Building a Bright Future Together! Our keynote speaker this year will be Majora Carter, a national leader at the nexus of climate and equity, with expertise in developing sustainable systems that help move people out of poverty. She is an urban revitalization strategy consultant, Peabody Award winning broadcaster, and MacArthur Genius grant recipient. 

Climate Solutions' 4th Annual Dinner - Northwest at a Crossroads

Thanks to all those who attended our 4th Annual Dinner in Portland. A not-to-miss event that brought together leaders from all sectors of the clean energy economy, environmental advocates and elected officials.
 
Our keynote speaker this year will be David Bragdon.  We are thrilled to have him join us.  David Bragdon was Metro Council President in the Portland region 2003-2010, where he led land use and transportation planning, solid waste management, natural areas preservation and ran facilities such as the Oregon Zoo and Oregon Convention Center.

Climate Solutions 3rd Annual Dinner

The Board and staff of Climate Solutions want to thank everyone for making our 3rd Annual Dinner, Northwest at a Crossroads, a huge success. 

Close to 400 other guests filled the room with their amazing energy. We are pleased to announce that we raised over $60,000 through donations, sponsorships and ticket sales and we doubled the number of donations from last year’s event.
