Bio
Megan is the Washington Buildings and Electrification Policy Director at Climate Solutions. In this role she leads legislative, regulatory, and utility engagement to drive a rapid and just transition from fossil fuel gas to 100% pollution-free buildings in Washington. She believes every Washingtonian deserves efficient, comfortable, and climate resilient buildings to live, learn, play, and work in.
Prior to joining Climate Solutions, Megan worked for the Climate Action Campaign in Washington, D.C. where she lobbied federal policymakers to pass $370 billion in climate investments in the Inflation Reduction Act. She also organized Hill briefings for congressional staff on opportunities to improve pollution protection standards. Previously at Waxman Strategies and Mighty Earth, Megan created a framework for steel decarbonization and worked on campaigns addressing pollution from international commodity-driven deforestation and first-generation biofuels. Megan enjoys working on creative solutions to hard-to-crack climate issues and is driven by her passion to reverse the climate harms that overburdened communities face.
Megan received a B.A. in Geography and Environmental Studies from Dartmouth College. In her free time, she enjoys climbing tall mountains, biking long distances, getting crafty, and eating (and cooking) new foods.
