No coal bailout banner
What part of "no more coal" doesn't Trump understand?
Washington State is so over coal. We banned it from our power plants, from our ports—and from our air and water. The Trump administration's heavy-handed attempt to keep coal alive in the Northwest is backward-looking and unlawful. That's why we're fighting back.

Divest. Separate. Win.

Divestment is more than a tactic in the climate battle. In a broad sense, it’s the whole game. Because, by itself, the fossil fuel industry does not have enough money or power to stop climate solutions. It only wins by continuously taking our money, and our power, and using them against us.

Coal to Clean Energy Forum - Portland

Did you know that Oregon still gets one third of its energy from out-of-state coal?

Pacific Power, for example, actually gets two-thirds of its energy from coal plants in Montana, Utah and Wyoming. This is bad news, as you well know. Coal plants are the single biggest air polluter in the country, making coal a leading cause of climate disruption and a major public health threat.
